Karen

This is our mail carrier. Her name is Karen. She is the highlight of Soso's day. Every day when he gets home from school, he has lunch, and then sits and waits for Karen. She gives him a hug, sometimes she has candy, sometimes huckleberries, sometimes rocks, but always something. The kids keep her abreast of what is happening in our lives.

We discovered that several of our friends are on her mail route. She brings treats to their children too. I am beginning to wonder how big the bag of candy in her car is. She keeps tabs on us based on what we get in our mail, and with amazing accuracy. She asked about some friends that are preparing to move out of state. I asked her how she knew that we knew them, they live across town. She said we get a lot of the same mail and our kids go to the same private school. She is a very sweet soul, and I am so glad that we get to see her almost everyday. So when you put that stamp on your envelope be cheerful, it supports great people like Karen.
