I have to humbly admit that I am not great at celebrating. Even birthdays are pretty low key around our house. We are pretty much a party all of the time, so going the extra mile and buying goodies, and decorating, and all of that just doesn't happen much.
Fortunately for my family, we have some wonderful grandparents and friends that more than make up for my lack of zeal. They all had class parties yesterday. Candy load number one. Today I had set aside the box from Grandma Sandi, knowing that it was filled with goodies that would make the day special. Grandma Schu sent them each $5 and a card which they have been using to treat themselves for the last couple of days. Then our mail lady brought cards and goodies. Our neighbor two doors down gave them each a soda. Two of the girls were invited to a Valentine Day party, which was really fun. And the grand finale was my dear friend Lisa and her sweet girls brought cards they had made with more candy.
I know I really should pour on the love in a special way myself. I did write down some really good ideas from all of you wonderful mommas to implement next year. I resolve to grow in grace in this area. Until then, thank you all who shared in making this a very sweet day.

Lots of love going on this year at your house on Valentine's day. I know what you mean though I am so really not into it.
