Several people have asked what Nes thinks of the snow. He seems unaffected by it, I find it annoying in March. He covers his head when we go outside, since 8 degrees is quite a change from 85. Obviously we are inside most of the time so the weather isn't much of an issue, except that he tends to leave the door open, which gets breezy.
One of the first Amharic words I learned was shai. He kept saying shai to me at the guesthouse, which of course, I had no idea what he was talking about. Finally one of the nannies came in and said he wanted tea. I don't typically give my three year old tea, but apparently they do in Ethiopia, (I would consider a latte, but that is my personal weirdness). So today he and Helen had a little shai with their crackers.
Our most emotional times are when the big kids leave for school, and going to bed. He has a minor meltdown for these events. He keeps his emotions pretty low key, and doesn't push too much to get his way. My other kids are far more stubborn than he is. He loves to help put things away, and lets me know if Helen is doing things she shouldn't. He and Helen haven't spent a lot of time playing together, they sort of do their own things. They haven't squabbled much at all either, which is such a blessing. We are all still getting to know each other, but are very grateful for this addition to our home. He has a very sweet spirit, to go with his big brown eyes.

Cute picture--Helen must be loving having a little buddy at home! Ava wants to know if you have taken him to McDonalds yet--she knows what it takes to really get settled here! :)
What a beautiful smile-on both faces!! I am so glad for what appears to be an easy transition! The honeymoon just may last forever! Wish I could "copy you" :) Best wishes.....
Beautiful pictures. Rahel, who was in Nesradine's room, has adjusted wonderfully as well. And we get lots of requests for chai too! We did meet their sister Elsa and are eager to bring her home. Sr Lutgarda allowed her to stay with us at Ritmo part of our visit. God bless. Lisa
That is the cutest picture. And after seeing those two together they are so good for each other. I am so glad they are so close in age. Yeah all my 3 ET's love to drink tea with me.
