Happy Birthday Rick. He's been around 40 years, with only 8 kids to show for it. We fed him well, and bought him things we would have liked. K-man got him baseball cards, Soso picked out a Coug t-shirt, and I got him a subscription to
Mars Hill Audio. He got lots of fun things and now he can do a little shopping for what he really wants. My brother didn't want to miss the opportunity to give him grief about hitting his next decade so he and the family joined us for the weekend. They are a party in themselves so we kept it simple.

Go Cougs, we start the indoctrination early.

Speaking of indoctrination, we also had Nes baptized this weekend. He is a Christian, and we are very blessed to have him join our covenant community. He took the whole thing very well. His sister however wiggled, kicked, and generally made everyone wonder what we were doing with her. Dr. Leithart didn't have to stop speaking for me to get her under control, which was nice. Rachel did get a picture of the wrestling match, but I won't post it here.

The weather was a bit unpredictable, so Omega dressed appropriately. UB asked if this is how she always dresses to go outside. K-man was supposed to have helped her "get ready." He took one look at her and said "that is not what I put on her." She did it her own self. God bless her, it kept the mud off.
It was a very nice weekend. I think it was a bit much for Nes this morning. He started to melt during church, but after a little walk he pulled it together. It will be nice to get back into our routine tomorrow. Spring break always causes me to panic about summer vacation. It is a good reminder that I need to get prepared.
