He Can Say Bicycle

So the sun finally conquered the clouds this weekend. Praise the Lord! My outlook on life was getting very overcast. We took the kids out to run on the trail, since it is paved, and therefore not muddy. We were almost back to the car when a cute little girl peddled past on her pink bike with training wheels. Nes stopped dead in his tracks and watched her ride by. Then he proceeded to chase her down yelling "bicycle, bicycle!" We managed to get him into the machina, and got him home. He had much to say about bicycles on the way.

Once home, we located the training wheels and got them on the bike. We found an extra helmet just his size, and set him to riding. He has mastered peddling, although he needs a little more strength in the thighs before he is ready to cruise up our hill. As you can imagine going down is no problem. He did take a rather sharp corner this afternoon which temporarily dampened his enthusiasm. We took a break and had some shai and cookies. I think he will recover.

Oh this is way cute. I have to show Biruk. Our kids just got some used bikes over the weekend. To funny, we were trying to teach them also but ended up going swimming. Go Nes!! That is a hard word.

Shai is one of Zeni's favorite ways to calm down too :)
