I had begun to feel a bit blue about my lack of preparation for Easter festivities. I seem to be forever a month behind and few dollars short. I was lamenting to my friend, and gracious hostess, about all of the beautiful pictures of table settings, special cakes, decorations, baskets. She said, "Really I haven't looked." Mistake number one, instead of gazing at everyone else's beautiful work I should have been doing my own. For the record I did not host any of these events, my dear friends Heather and Lisa had the lovely tables.
In the end the weekend was fabulous! The weather was mostly sunny, with a few showers. The company was mostly cheerful with a few tears. The worship services were heavenly, and the conversations were inspirational. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family with lots of energy. They love to play and are always busy. I have a group of friends that are just amazing. The more time I spend with them the more wonderful they become. We didn't have folded napkins, or sterling silver, but the kids had a great time and we all loved our neighbors.
I am still learning to be content in my circumstances. There will always be homes more together than mine, but it is hard to beat my friends and family. God has done great things in our little town, and I am so glad that I can be here, and that my kids think this is all very normal.
Kids being kids on the trampoline. I am happy to report there were no injuries.
The hunters splitting up the spoils. Intense negotiations were taking place.
Nes with his stash.
The adult side of the room. Lovely conversation.
The kids had a little "down time" after the hunt. Praise the Lord for DVDs.

And Amen!
I saw that photo of Rachel's of you all sitting and having conversation and I was wondering how you all managed to sit at the same time. But the next photo explains all :)
Looks like a great time!
What a host you are!! The table looks beautiful. I love Nes holding all of his eggs. I told Biruk that Nesradine was missing him so much the other day. Happy, Happy late Easter.
