Another week is slipping by. We had big plans for the weekend, involving travel, visiting special friends, running for a great cause, but things have not worked out quite as I had planned. Bronster has been home with a tummy bug, and Soso has had pink eye. He has been working at home until this morning. He decided to build a fort. You can see that he had made a lot of progress, until he decided it was crooked and tore it all apart. It kept him busy for one whole day, so it was all good.
The cement truck is also sitting in front of my house as I type. It looks like we will not have to go with the gang plank option for Halloween after all. The kids are slightly disappointed, but I am thrilled. I don't like having to hassle people about getting their work done. It is even unpleasant with my kids and their chores. The winning idea for getting construction work done is to point out that you can file a complaint with the licensing board in your state. That gets all kinds of reaction, and eventually a finished product.
We also got several pictures of our beautiful daughter. She knows now that she has a family. She has our pictures and a journal to write in. She has an amazing smile. I am trying to think of a blog name for her, but since dimples is already taken by my dear friend, I will have to think of something else. We have heard from several people that have spent time with her, and they have all been very touched by her. God is so good to us. He has given us two very special children that are such a blessing to our family. He chose them for us, and I could never have never chosen two more wonderful people. The courts in Ethiopia are still closed, but I know that God's timing is perfect. There is much to be done while we wait, so I will get busy.
