Our first LAX games took place this Saturday. K-man has moved up to the senior division so he and Soso are in different leagues. K-man is not the most aggressive guy in the world. He likes to make sure that everyone gets a chance, and is having fun. I've been threatening to let his sisters smack him around with LAX sticks if he doesn't get over his fear. He figured out pretty quickly that being the little guy on the field meant that he was often undefended, and that if he can shoot from the outside he can make goals without getting hit. He made three goals, although one got knocked in by the goalie on the back swing. The other coach finally got someone to defend him, but he had a big grin after the game.
Soso's team also won their game. The little guys are a lot of fun to watch. They spend a lot of time huddled up trying to scoop the ball off the ground. Some of those guys are tiny, but you give them a stick and a helmet, and you better look out. It was a warm morning and we had a good time. Some of the girls bailed at half time, but that's okay they were there for the beginning.
Later in the day Rick took the younger set to the pool. He decided to make them all ride their bikes. I don't know how he does it. Whenever I try to get them going it is mass chaos. He got them lined up and rode the mile and half to the pool. They swam for a couple of hours and then rode back. I thought for sure they would be in bed at 7, but no, they were in bed at 9. This is why my kids are so skinny, I really do feed
them.

Wow that is really cool of Rick! Haha, yes they are all so active and isn't it funny how skinny they all stay? What a blessing to be in a place where the children can ride safely to a pool without having to be in a crash!
