It all started with this blog post. A grand idea, I thought, so I dusted off my Reese Chronological Bible and dug in. As January 1 rolled around many of my friends were talking about reading through their Bibles this year. I asked if anyone wanted to read through it chronologically, and many ladies said "yes!" It took us a while to decide on a method for doing this. Not all of us had a Reese Bible, so we started looking for plans online. We stumbled across this website, and have decided to go with this plan. There is also a Chronological Bible in a Year if any of you want to give that a go.
I meet with a small group of ladies once a week. We have decided to do the study along with the reading. We have already found that reading the Bible this way has brought up questions about things we had previously not stopped to ponder. If any of you are local and would like to join the discussion drop me an email and let me know. If you aren't local and want to join the discussion drop me an email and we can discuss that way as well. I am so excited about what God is doing in my group of friends. I am also going to read A House For My Name, by Peter Leithart along with my reading. It is a chronological survey of the Old Testament, which should be very enlightening. I have read it before, but I know reading it with the Bible will be even more edifying.

I really love the chronological bible. I go back and forth each year. This year I am back to the regular read the bible in one year. I am so happy you get to do this with other women. Wished I could live there so badly.
I have read through the Bible each year for many years now, but never chronological (one of those things I have never even thought of). I always have questions as I read through, and it would be great to be part of a group to discuss. If I wasn't all the way across the country I would love to join you.
