Quiet

"Yet in her wisdom and love, the mother knows the time to stand firm against her child's demands.  As she resists his desire a moment comes when the child quiets himself.  Somehow, mysteriously, without words being shared, that child makes the decision to trust the heart of the mother and to trust the arms that hold him, even though that same person is refusing to give him what he most wants." ~ Choosing Rest, Sally Breedlove
