Changing Seasons

I've been contemplating what to do with this little space of mine.  I know that many people stumble across this blog from adoption websites.  Yes, we are an adoptive family, but I don't feel like that is my focus these days.  I thought about just deleting the whole thing, (I am an all or nothing kind of girl).  A friend pointed out that that might be a bit drastic.  I know that some people have gleaned some helpful information from my ramblings.  I still need to print out this years edition, so I undeleted it.

I've been thinking it is time to go in a new direction.  I really want this blog to be about my family.  I am not a single unit.  I am part of something much larger.  The very best of me is working itself out in the nine people that I make lunches for every day.  I want to share this space with them.  Actually I think we will create a new space, I just haven't decided where yet.  When I do I will put a change of address link.  I'm hoping my kids will agree to post some of their thoughts, and writing, and photography.  I feel like I have run out of things to say, and time to say it.  I am in the season of going, going, going, but I would like to capture snippets of it from time to time.

Brook has been working on some photography, that I would love to post.  Bronwyn writes some really fun things occasionally.  Madison turns 17 tomorrow, and it would be fun to have her write about that.  She also has a cross country meet, a history composition and a math test so she might not get to it.  I wanted to post Soren's favorite cookie recipe, the one he asked if he could take with him when he moves out in ten years or so.  I would love to post more of those things, and not feel like I am boring all of you who want to hear about how the adoption process works.

Honestly, as soon as you get through the adoption process you are outdated, the process changes every day.  If you are considering adoption, my advice is pray hard and get ready for a wild adventure.  It is an incredible experience, but no one can tell you how it will work out.  I would find out if your agency has a blog, and if there are others that you know, that are adopting, follow them.  Or you can go to my friend Lisa's blog A Bushel and A Peck, she has a lot of really great information.
