Beach Grandma arrived on Wed. evening. We enjoyed some of the season's fresh produce. We made this very tasty soup, Pasta e Fagioli. I thought the red tomatoes and the orca beans were quite pretty. We did a little shopping, a little cooking, and went to see the new Cohen brother's film, Burn after Reading. I have to admit I love the Cohen brothers. I think this may be my favorite film of theirs yet; Ladykillers is a very close second. Mom and I kept laughing out loud, I'm not sure the five other people in the theatre understood that it was a comedy. It was rated R for good reason, but seeing Brad Pitt dancing like a total geek was worth it.
Bk had a fun project at school. She painted a fresco of the Pieta. I know I'm her Mom, but I thought it turned out really well. She loves to draw so it took a while, but I think it was worth it.
E and Soso mastered riding bikes without training wheels. Now we have two more road hazards in our neighborhood, so please drive slowly when passing through. They have a few scrapes and bruises to show for it, but they love the freedom.
We have been very blessed. The kids have all been well. School is going great. Friends have been extremely kind and generous. The Cougs even managed a win. And the temperature dropped to a very nice sweater wearing level. Praise God for He is kind!
