Abundant Blessing

I was visiting with a friend yesterday. When I walked into her kitchen it was teeming with tomatoes. She kindly offered me a bag and begged me to take some. I thought it was a very appropriate metaphor for my life of late.

God has turned on the blessing faucet full tilt. I found myself thinking, "Stop, Lord I can't take in anymore!" How can I think things like that? There have been several times when I found myself drowning in a sea of good things. I always underestimate how greatly God can bless me, if I will only trust Him.

Sometimes these blessing bring a lot of work with them. I am realizing that this too is a blessing. Hard work keeps you out of trouble, and dependant on the One that sent the work. As always I need to keep the joy in my attitude as I learn more and more about the awesome God that I serve.
