I had been reading all of my friend's blogs, and they had all been tagged. Now I know how long it takes to get to me : ) Thanks Ashley!

Seven random things about me.

1. I love the flavor of coconut. That's random.

2. I am a second generation Coug. I got my B.S. in Human Nutrition, not food science!

3. All of my children's names end in n. Our new guy's has a silent e, but it's close enough.

4. I hate to sit still, unless I'm reading. Even then, I have to go through a period of thinking of all the things I should be doing, and forcing myself to just sit there and get into the book. Movies are really hard for me, I always try to do things while I'm watching them. And my favorite movies are ones you need to watch more than once.

5. I love to snow ski. I only go once or twice a year, but I absolutely love it. Being outside in the snow, and the sun is just so exhilarating. I'm not very good, but I can get down most hills.

6. I am not a rules follower. I know it is a bad thing, but there are so many rules that don't apply to my situation. I don't like phone trees for the same reason. There is never a number for the issue I need to talk to someone about. And "let me talk to a human" is not ever an option. I think of recipes as guidelines, not absolutes.

7. My birthday is on Christmas eve. My Dad was in Vietnam when I was born so he found out on Christmas Day. This has been a source of frustration for many years, but now that birthday parties have lost their luster, I am okay with letting it get lost in the celebration. I have never had to work on my birthday, at least for someone else.

Okay, now on to my friends. I tag Rachel, Rick, MLB, LA, LF, MA, and Esa. The last four are private, but I can't wait to see what they say. Heres to silly things to keep us from what we should be doing, like wondering why my kids are so quiet. Uh, oh.
