The tree has left the building. It was lovely, but its time has come.
Next year I need to remember to go get the tree myself. I had asked Rick to get a Noble Fir. The guy at the lot was not a tree expert so Rick just picked one the kids liked. They came home with a Spruce. It was pretty, but it was painful. We thought maybe the kids would be deterred by the prickly needles. They weren't. It did poke holes in my silicone hot pads when I took it out. Note to self: no Spruce trees in the house, pick out tree without the kids.
