Bummer Day

Saturdays are always a challenge around here. Everyone thinks it is their day off, so they make all kinds of plans, which means someone is a taxi, someone is a maid, someone is a chef, and someone is in charge of short people management. Unfortunately only two of us end up with those titles. This particular Saturday we also needed a custodian at Beasley Coliseum. Rick decided to multitask from home and "let" me go to the game instead of him. Great, we played the Huskies. Let's just say it is a rebuilding year for the Cougs. Casto is looking better and better all of the time, but our defense was lame. The bottom line is I had to watch the Huskies beat us, and then I had to clean up all of the peanuts and popcorn everyone carelessly dropped on the floor. The upside is we made some money for Mads' class to take their northwest history field trip. K-man also made a new friend, and got to play on Friel court.

It probably didn't help that some certain friends managed to get their car stuck in your driveway (again!) and kept your husband up late trying to get it thawed out enough for the doors to open.

I completely understand about Saturdays - I always have so much I hope to do, but somehow the kids still need me.
