New Things

We are enjoying the last day of vacation before the kids head back to school. The weatherman was correct, again, and we are digging out of the snow. My next door neighbor bought a snow blower, praise the Lord, so I don't have to worry about the sidewalks.

The kids have been jumping off of the play set into the drifts. I think they started something after jumping off the roof at my Dad's. I hope they get it out of their systems by spring.

It is becoming obvious to me that I need to start some indoor hobbies. I'm not really a crafty person. I have grand ideas, but I seem to have trouble accomplishing anything attractive. I did buy some really nice Amy Butler fabric to make some valences for my dining room. When I get it done, I will post pictures, but don't hold your breath. I also want to learn to knit. I asked our pastor's wife if she would teach and she agreed. Now, we just have to find a free hour at the same time. These are my New Years goals, I think keeping it simple is the theme for 2009.
