Addis Ababa

A little clothes shop along the roadside

The view from the car. A very ordinary street scene.

The view from the guesthouse window. A little razor wire, and the neighbor's roof. If only I could have recorded the sounds, it is so much better with a little African music.

The new church at Kidane Mihret

Sunrise

The monument commemorating King Menelik's defeat of the Italians at Adawa. We woke up to canons at 6:00 a.m.

Those pics sure bring back fond memories of ET. I remember SR. Lutgerda just wanting this church to be finished and boy was she slaving those workers to finish "HER" church. To bad I never saw it done but it was getting pretty close. Please give N some big kisses from B, A, and myself.
