The new guesthouse is lovely. It has a great garden, with rosemary and mint. It has lovely bathrooms, and if you get up at the crack of dawn you can even get some running water out of them. The water is pretty much gone by noon. We are living with a couple of other wonderful families and 15 babies. The babies are the cutest things on the planet. They get to be aired out every morning. I'll post a few pictures when I get home. The dial-up would just be way too tedious to put pictures up from.
We can take Nes out to a few places, but not many. We visited Hanna at Children's Heaven. She is amazing and her girls are such a testimony to the grace of God. They were so hopeful in the midst of devastating circumstances. They sing beautifully, I hope to put up some video of them singing.
Rick and BK went shopping on Churchill street today. They didn't get nearly enough scarves. We will be going back once Rick gets off to the states. BK had a great time, and we are starting to get the art of haggling.
If any traveling families read this, we are in desperate need of coffee filters. Some items are just hard to find in the shops around here. Yesterday we had no water, but our toilet downstairs was flooding. Go figure. I think we have the leak located and are safe for use again. We moved to the big room upstairs, which is palatial. We have our own bathroom. Nes took about an hour bath today. He loved splashing and rolling in the water. He is all clean and fresh smelling, which is quite a change. We didn't have water yesterday morning so I couldn't bathe him before we met his Mom. I hope she doesn't think we are the worst parents ever. She was lovely and wanted to make sure that we remembered her. I assured her we would help Nes to remember his people. She lives in Jimma south west of Addis.
I could go on for days, but I will cut it short for now. My friend Terry, who has been here for a while is contemplating a travel blog. She is hilarious, and has some great stories. If I could tell them the way she does this would be worth reading. For now, we muddle through trying to conserve water, keep the babies happy, and remember to keep our sense of humor, for this too shall pass.

Glad you are in good company and keeping up your faith even though the water and coffee filters. Ha, I am a avid coffee drinker so that probably would put me over the edge not to be able to drink coffee. Anyways, I left a message on our yahoo group. Praying for a speedy waiver...
Such a joy to read your blog today! Your sister, Rachel, told me about you since we too are in process to bring a precious boy home form ET. (post referral and waiting for our initial court date) Just want you to know I will be praying for God's favor, smooth travel, and your sweet little guy's transition. Blessings to you!!
Congratulations on your new love. Our baby, Wubeski, is at the guest house. Thanks so much for the sweet photos of her. We just accepted her referral on Monday.
