Soso's first LAX game

This morning was Soso's first Lacrosse (LAX) game. He and K-man are on the same team, which has been a good thing. K-man is in his third year, so he has got most of the rules down. Soso got a bit distracted in the beginning. He was down by his goal, but most of the action was on the other end of the field. He was not quite into the game when all of a sudden both teams came upon him. He stayed attentive for most of the rest of the game. He did throw the ball the wrong way at one point, fortunately the other team neglected to make a pass before throwing in their goal. That isn't an official LAX rule, but for the little leagues it helps keep the game more even. The boys all did a great job, and worked really hard. They gain so much skill in two or three years, they are a lot of fun to watch.

The best part of the game for me is at the end when both teams line up and face each other and sing the Gloria Patri, before they shake hands. It's little things like this that give me hope.
