2009 was a full year. I am very thankful for the adventures, and the blessings. It is hard to believe that it is wrapping up. Even more alarming is that we are entering a new decade. Ten years ago my family had just moved from our hometown to our little university village in Idaho. My husband spent his orientation with a man who is now one of our closest friends. I was pregnant with my first son, and had three little girls. We had purchased yet another fixer upper. We were wondering what this new millennium had in store for us.
Things have changed quite a bit since then. I am realizing how close I am to having kids that are grown. I have my first one driving. We have traveled to new continents and made friends that are all over the world. Our family has grown in size and number and origin of birth. We have all learned that the world is much bigger than we had ever dreamed, and we still have so much to learn.
I have a lot of things I am hoping to accomplish in the coming year. I'm hoping to spend more time with my kids, planning for their futures. We have moved beyond learning to read and sit still at the table, well maybe not quite, but we are getting there. We are needing to think about what they are going to do when they grow up. And I need to think about what I am going to do when they grow up. These will be good things to ponder while I sit on an airplane for 18 hours.
May your New Year be filled with adventure and people. If you have people you will always have an adventure. Happy 2010.

Love the closing lines! They made me smile...
Happy New Year to your Beautiful Family. The ocean picture always makes me smile. I think I am going to print it and frame it.
Tell me about it, kids are just growing up so fast. Can't keep up.
