The Sun has Arrived

The sun has arrived, and is even warming up our frozen wasteland.  Jubilee has discovered the pool, and LOVES it.  The consequences have been hard on her skin however.  I had purchased several moisturizers and sunscreens, but everything made her look sort of purple.  Finally I called an Ethiopian friend in town that works at Walgreens.  She said that she has found her skin and hair to be very sensitive.  She reacts to many cosmetics, so she does no make up anymore.  She, and every other Ethiopian we have met, recommended Blue Magic for hair, and Vaseline for skin.  I had to get over my apprehension to use petroleum based products, and I have to say they work like a charm.  Jubilee's skin has cleared up and looks healthy, and her hair stays curly and beautiful even after an afternoon at the pool. 

I also wanted to mention that Jubilee's countenance has become much more sunny.  I will write more about that later.  There is too much excitement in the house for a thoughtful post at the moment.
