Who Are You?

One of my favorite things to check on my blog is the feed it gadget.  I love seeing where people are reading from.  I have found some really interesting blogs this way, and am fascinated by the, mostly ladies, that happen across my blog.  If you are feeling bold I would love to have you leave a comment, and a blog address if you have one so that I can "meet" you.  I know that most of you, if you aren't personal friends, are other adoptive moms.  I love reading adoption stories.  God brings families together in such interesting ways.  It is also fun to see how families work through the struggles of being knit together.

It is also a fun geography lesson.  For example Stone Mountain, Georgia, I would love to know who is out there reading about my family that lives there.  I have several readers from Germany, one is my dear friend that used to be local, but who are the rest of you?  And if you are the reader from Spirit Lake Idaho, all I can say is, I would love to come talk to you in person, Spirit Lake is one of my favorite places.  I'm just curious, so if you feel like indulging my curiosity I would love to hear from you.

Tell me about it! Isn't the traffic feed something? So many visitors but so few comments. But it sure is an interesting question.

I LOVE your blog, am presently waiting for an 8 yr old boy and 6 yr old girl from Ethiopia, waiting since Feb 2009. Getting close tohaving a court date, I think. Have an 11yr old boy/ 9 yr old girl bio now. We live in a suburb of Charlotte, NC called WaXhaw. I mainly write about my chickens, we have aboutg 120 of them and I sell eggs at farmer's market. Chickens make me laugh and keep me lighthearted. The address is laughsandclucks.blogspot.com

I can't remember how I came across your blog. But I do enjoy reading it. We are a family of 8 through natural child birth and adoption birth(lol feels like giving birth anyway). We are also foster parents and have been for almost 9 years now. We are also a homeschooling family. I love to see who has been on my blog too, but I don't get very many comments either and if I do they are from people I know. So if you happen to stop by please leave a comment, I would love to hear from you! Oh and we live in Ohio:)

Hi, I'm Abby. I'm 24 and live in Bethesda, MD. I learned of your blog through A Bushel and A Peck. My partner and I are considering adoption, and I enjoy reading about your family. Thank you for being honest about what it is like--good and bad!

I am also curious who is reading your blog from Spirit Lake. I live *very* near there, but not near enough for it to be me. :) But I'm reading also. We are in the midst of our first adoption of a 5yo girl.

I stumbled to your blog from some other adoption related blog sometime ago. I really enjoy it! I'm an adoptive mom of a now 4 year old from Guatemala. I think a lot about adding to our family through older child adoption and enjoy hearing about your experiences!

Okay I am the one from Stone Mountain! It was quite a shock to see that on your blog!! I can't remember how I came across your blog, but it really has been an encouragement to me. I did leave you a comment some time back and you came to my blog and commented back. One post you wrote after that really resounded with me and I tried to comment on it a couple of times but I kept getting an error. I figured God didn't want me to air all my frustrations at that time. We recently adopted a 7 year old from Ethiopia (with more severe medical issues than we anticipated) and we have really been struggling. Although our struggles are different from yours, your honesty in your adoption of Jubilee has helped me a lot.

OK, the Feed was a GREAT idea. I put it on my blog and was quite surprised. How fun!

I came across your blog from another adoption blog as well. We are a foster, adoptive, transracial family with 9 kids in New England.

I love your honesty. We all struggle and I think we truly need each other in this adoption community. Although each of us are on our own journey, there are threads of similar experiences woven through all of our stories.

I started blogging this year (still in the online scrap booking mode)and was thrilled to find other families "just like mine." I didn't know...there were so many other NORMAL families out there. LOL

Hi! I started reading a while ago when Laurel linked over here.. we have 6 kids, including 5 from Haiti. Two of our kids have RAD/PTSD/ODD. One of our kids will be moving to another family after residential treatment (19 months so far) due to safety issues.

Well. Stone Mountain and Spirit Lake sound way more idyllic than Seguin, Texas (probably registering as San Antonio). Oh well. Here I am deep in the South of Texas reading your blog!

Hi Signe,

I've been following your blog ever since we discovered that we were bringing home girls who were friends in Ethiopia. We live in Duarte,CA. I'm so glad to read that Jubilee is doing better. All that transition is hard on everyone, but so worth the challenges!

Blessings to you all!
