Track season is in full swing. Mads has had several meets, and is doing respectably in the 100, 400, relay, and high jump. BK and Bronster had their first meet today. Our coach had a family emergency so I got to be the substitute coach. We had a few missed events, but overall everyone got where they needed to be. The sun came out, and the rain held off. The kids did great. BK got first in the 800, and the 1600. Bronster did very well in the relay and the high jump, especially given that she is at least a foot shorter than the girl who won. Mads has another meet on Friday at home. And yes, I did take my camera, but it stayed in the van until we got to Costco for dinner. Maybe next time I will get an actual picture of the meet.

I made injera for the first time yesterday. It was an unqualified disaster. I let it ferment way too long, and it was potent. I think I also had the griddle too hot. I will give it another go, and maybe we will have something somewhat edible. Jubilee appreciated the effort, and ate several pieces. We had a lot of laughs and I learned a lot. Next week she gets to perform in her first school play.
We also have a birthday coming on Thursday. Mads has her low protocol dinner, and her first round of allergy shots. We also have our three month post-placement visit. It is a busy week, but I guess most of them are.
