"Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world." John Milton
I read an email today from a lovely young lady who is serving the Lord in Iraq. She was renewing her awe of God through thankfulness. She is planning to document 1000 gifts God has given her in her daily living. For some reason my faith fails me at trying to document 1000 things, any things, I just can't imagine I would be able to remember it all. So I am just going to document as many as I can remember, for as long as I remember to do it.
I am thankful today for good friends that love God, and love His word; strong, black, coffee; the early minutes in the morning before everybody wakes up, the first sleepy face that wanders down the hall to look for me; eggs; hot running water; sun puddles; the first blanket of green over the fields; the scent of fresh mown grass; the scent of hawthorn trees in bloom; tulips; mint toothpaste; children singing; God's word written on my son's bulletin board, by him; teenage daughters; good books; my mom; my dad; God's saving grace; prayer; flannel sheets; automatic dishwashers; four year old snuggles; blogs; email; and godly people who like to write.

LOVE IT....I just might have to copy since I had a rough day of keeping a thankful attitude. Thanks for the reminder.
