One of my favorite parts of the day is when I get to sit down and read through my list of favorite blogs. It may be a sick obsession, but sometimes I laugh until I cry. Sometimes I cry until I pray. Sometimes I think "Wow, what am I complaining about". But I always find myself wishing that I could actually talk to these people. A few of them I can actually talk to, my sister-in-law, my dear friend Lisa, my pastor, but many of them I have never met. They would probably be surprised that I read their blogs.
It is sort of odd. Writing about your day, your thoughts, what your kids are doing and having people all over the world reading it. Sometimes it give me the creeps, but then I think about how much I enjoy reading about other people's lives. Some of them are a lot like me, some of them are not at all like me, but they all inspire me. They make me grateful for "normal" people doing "normal" things that are making the world a better place. I am so grateful for their news, as opposed to the media's idea of news.
My kids also enjoy reading it, which is fun. They get to find out what is rolling around in my brain while they are slaving away at school. They also do and say funny things, and then look at me and say, "you aren't going to blog about that are you?" I hope it makes them smile someday when they look back at it. Either that or they will start their own blogs, and then I will get to be examined from their perspective, scary.
Thank You to all of you who blog. I love to hear about your days. Thank you to those of you who read my blog. I'm not sure why you do, unless you are my Dad, but I hope it makes you smile. I enjoy writing it, and looking back to see what we have accomplished this year. And as many have pointed out, it is cheaper than therapy.

I read your blog because you remind me of me....me with a lot more kids. And maybe nicer, and smarter, and ....... :)
Haven't been to your blog in a while
So true what you said. I never thought of having a blog but I too look really forward to reading my favorite blogs when it all quiet in the house. Plus I think in the adoption world it the biggest support line for most people. When you really need people they are there in an instant to support you, cheer you up or laugh with you.
